@EvaloCH because in portuguese when saying someone’s job you usually skip the “a”. so “Ela é professora” = she’s a teacher / she teaches. “Ela é uma professora” isn’t wrong, but sounds more like “she is one teacher” or like you’re emphasizing it, and it’s more natural if you add something after it, like “uma boa professora” 😊
