Falando para Todos: free access to Falando

We believe that not being able to afford learning should never be a barrier for anyone in this world. If paying for Falando is out of reach for you, or you teach people who need Portuguese, we want to help.

For universities, schools and institutions

Free Falando for your students.

We offer Falando for free to students at universities, language schools, Celpe-Bras preparation centres, and other institutions that teach Portuguese or support people moving to Brazil.

In return, we ask for a little help spreading the word. For example:

a link to Falando on your website or student resources page
a mention to your students, in class or in a newsletter
a post on your social media channels

We're flexible, so tell us what works for your institution.

Your students get full access to everything in Falando, including dedicated Celpe-Bras exam practice.

What to send us: your institution's name and website, your role, roughly how many students would use Falando, and how you'd like to share it.

For people who can't afford Falando

A free 12-month plan with everything in a paid subscription.

We offer a free 12-month Falando plan, with everything in a paid subscription, to:

refugees and asylum seekers in Brazil
immigrants to Brazil on a very low income
anyone going through a difficult financial situation

How to apply

Create a free Falando account.
Email us from the same address. Include a short note about your situation and some documents to confirm it.
We review every request by hand and will get back to you as soon as possible. Once your request is approved, your yearly plan starts right away, with no payment details needed.

Documents that help

You don't need all of these. Send as many as you can: the more you send, the easier it is for us to confirm your situation.

a Brazilian refugee or asylum document, such as a DP-RNM, a CRNM, or a CONARE decision
a humanitarian visa or residence permit
proof of registration in CadÚnico, or of a social benefit such as Bolsa Família
a letter from an NGO, shelter, religious group or social worker who supports you
proof of low income or unemployment

Not sure if your documents count? Write to us anyway.

Your privacy

We use your documents only to confirm you're eligible. We never share them, and we keep them only as long as needed.

Common questions

Is it really free?: Yes. No card, no charge when the plan ends, and nothing to cancel.
What happens after 12 months?: If you still need it, write to us again and we'll look at extending it.
Don't see your situation here?: Write to us. We read every message.
