Meaning
To be completely lost / Clueless
Example
Eu fui a uma festa semana passada, estava mais perdido que cego em tiroteio.
I was at a party last week, I was completely lost.
Origin
The force of feito cego em tiroteio ("like a blind man in a shootout") comes straight from its image: someone who cannot see, caught amid flying bullets, has no idea where to turn or how to protect himself — the picture of total disorientation and helplessness.
