Golpe da barriga (literally "the belly scam") is a modern Brazilian colloquialism that reuses golpe, "a con or scam", with barriga, the pregnant belly. It accuses someone of deliberately getting pregnant by a well-off partner so as to secure money — typically child support — from them.
