achar-se a última bolacha do pacote

Portuguese

Meaning

to think you're God's gift, to consider yourself more important than you are

Example

A Paula se acha a última bolacha do pacote desde que apareceu na televisão.

Paula has thought she was God's gift ever since she appeared on television.

Origin

The expression turns the last cookie in a shared packet into a comic symbol of exaggerated importance. A person who thinks they are “the last cookie in the packet” behaves as though everyone else should prize or compete for them.
