to have a quick chat
Vem cá, vamos ter dois dedos de prosa, faz tempo que não nos vemos.
Come here, let's have a quick chat, it's been a while since we last saw each other.
The word prosa, from Latin prosa ("direct, flowing speech"), came to mean "conversation" informally: in everyday life we speak in prose, not verse. The measure "two fingers," taken as the width of the index and middle fingers together, suggests something short; dois dedos de prosa is therefore a brief, relaxed chat.
